After undergoing complete renovation, the parsonage is finished! It is absolutely beautiful and we are excited to see how God will use it to further His kingdom. Check out the pics!
Brooks/Mills
Our church has three buildings. The Parsonage (approx. 1920), Whited Building (1989), and Brooks Building/Mills Hall (1915/1958). Brooks is the original church building. It is the traditional looking structure with the bell tower. It was the gathering place for the church from 1915-1989. Mills was an addition added in 1958. The structure of Brooks is in great shape, but Mills needs to be completely remodeled. We are working with a local architect and designer and the plans for renovation are near completion. The existing footprint will not change significantly. The biggest change will be adding a second story above Mills. The first floor of Mills will become a dedicated youth room, which will give the youth of our church and community a meeting place of their own. The second floor of Mills will have four staff offices. The gathering space that is Brooks will decrease in size slightly and will be a beautiful space for events, Sunday school, AWANA, etc. A visible entrance from the street, a welcome space, secretary's office, copy center, ADA compliant bathrooms, kitchen, janitor's closet, storage, and stairs round out the first floor. A remodeled Brooks/Mills will give us a great space for youth, improved space for weekly operations, a beautiful space for events and discipleship, and sufficient office space for current needs and future growth. It will be efficient and functional while retaining its character and charm. The estimated cost of the project is $1.5-$2 million.
