Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.  2 Timothy 2:15 ESV

The mission of the Kingston Christian Church Awana Club is to reach children with the gospel and to engage them in lifelong discipleship to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Children and Leaders from North Kitsap meet each Wednesday night to learn what God’s Word says about salvation, what it means to live for God, pray with each other, memorize scripture, and play games.  Our club is available for children from preschool through high school.

God’s Word is being sown from the start with our Cubbies and is nurtured as they progress through Sparks, Truth and Training, and finish with Leader in Training.  God is making an impact in the lives of these children.  Many graduating Awana students become leaders for Christ as adults.

Our purpose at Awana is to accept God’s call to be discipled and to disciple, to claim and proclaim the gift of God, Jesus Christ, Who is our Salvation.

KCC Awana runs September through May on Wednesday Nights from 6 PM to 8 PM.  Please contact us below or by email at awana@kccmail.org for more information.

The 2023-2024 Awana year starts on Sept. 13, 2024!
Registration can now be done in person when you arrive at the church. We'll see you there!
Children 3-5 years of age learn about all that God has created through biblical teaching, as well as through games, stories, puppets and fun arts and crafts activities.  It is never too early to start learning about God.  Even these little ones can begin to memorize God’s Word, so it will stay with them for life.
Children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ, through their handbooks and weekly lessons.  Each week they also memorize Bible verses and participate in friendly, fun competitive games.
Children in 3rd through 6th grade explore the concept of grace by focusing on the character and nature of God, the identity of Christ, as well as the structure and format of the Bible as they work through their handbooks and participate in weekly discussions.  Each week they also memorize Bible verses and participate in friendly, fun, competitive games.

Leaders in Training (LIT) clubbers (7th through 12th grade) are challenged with scripture memorization and engaging discussions about walking in God’s strength, trusting God, and what it means to be a leader.  Their curriculum increases the scope and emphasis on Bible study which further drives them to Christian maturity. This is full circle discipleship where the discipled become the disciplers.  The LITs are an integral part of our club by providing well over half of the volunteers required to run our club.  They assist with setup and takedown, help maintain club safety, run games, and help room leaders work with the Cubbies, Sparks, and T&Ts on scripture memorization and teaching of Bible lessons.
